A south Korean man dies while paragliding in Gujarat; the incident is recorded on video

According to reports, a South Korean man passed away Saturday night while paragliding in Gujarat’s Mehsana district. According to the news agency PTI, the incident happened on a school property in the Visatpura village neighborhood of Kadi. According to the article, 50-year-old Shin Byeong Moon died after falling from a height of 50 feet after his paraglider malfunctioned.

The individual is allegedly seen losing control while in the air as he drops to the earth in a locals’ video of the mishap.

Officials are seen evaluating the man as he remains unconscious on the ground, surrounded by residents in another video, reportedly from the same occurrence.

Inspector Nikunj Patel of Kadi Police Station said the man was traveling with a Korean buddy visiting a friend in Vadodara.”Shin was in Vadodara for a trip. He was visiting his Korean friend, who also enjoys paragliding, in Visatpura village, which is close to Kadi town. Shin and his Korean companion went paragliding on Saturday night.” PTI quoted Patel.

“The man fell from a height of around 50 feet after the canopy failed to open properly,” the Inspector of police added.

Around 5:30 p.m., the accident occurred, and the victim was taken to the hospital in a semi-conscious state, where he passed away during treatment, according to PTI.

According to doctors, the trauma of falling caused the man to experience cardiac arrest. The victim’s family and friends in Vadodara have been informed of the tragedy, and the police have reported the death as an accident at the Kadi police station.

The man’s mortal remains will be sent to South Korea, according to the police, who also alerted the Korean embassy.
