England won with a tenacious fifty from Ben Stokes.
In a hard-fought World Cup final on a tough pitch, Ben Stokes hit an unbeaten 52. At the same time, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, and Chris Jordan shared the spoils as England defeated Pakistan to claim a memorable victory at the legendary MCG.
Stokes found atonement after being struck for four sixes in a row by Carlos Brathwaite in the 2016 T20 World Cup final at Eden Gardens, which England lost.

Fantastic achievement. 👏🏻It was a closely fought final and would’ve been even more interesting had Afridi not been injured.
