Police suspect overdose after finding a dead HCL employee in a car.

According to Amrutha Guguloth, DCP (East), the man was found dead inside a WagonR parked there since Wednesday night.

In Vinod Nagar in East Delhi, a 30-year-old HCLTech employee was discovered dead inside his vehicle, according to police on Thursday. The deceased was a resident of Delhi and employed by an IT firm in Bengaluru.

Locals saw the deceased inside his car and called the police around 1:27 p.m. He was discovered, according to police, in the driver’s seat.

DCP (East) Amrutha Guguloth remarked, “A call came in the afternoon at Kalyanpuri police station. The man was lying dead inside a WagonR. The car had been parked at the same spot since Wednesday evening. The crime team inspected the scene and found a syringe and three needles in the car.”

His parents, who reside in West Vinod Nagar, are still alive. The body was taken to the mortuary after the police notified the family. Near his home, the deceased was last seen by himself.

“On inquiry, it appears the death occurred due to an overdose of an intoxicant. However, we are waiting for the autopsy report to confirm the reason,” DCP said.
