Railways make available web links that list the affected passengers in the Odisha train accident

Call the BMC Helpline-18003450061/1929 and 139-Indian Railways Helpline to find any relatives hurt by the Odisha Rail tragedy.

Three web links with images of the deceased and lists of passengers admitted to various hospitals have been created by the railways in collaboration with the Odisha government to assist families in finding their relatives affected by the triple train tragedy in Balasore.

Call the BMC Helpline-18003450061/1929 and 139-Indian Railways Helpline to find any relatives hurt by the Odisha Rail tragedy.

“Indian Railways, with the assistance of the government of Odisha, has started an initiative to find them to assist the families of those still unsure of the whereabouts of their relatives who were involved in the triple train tragedy in Bahanaga, Odisha.

“The family members/relatives/friends and well-wishers of the passengers affected in this unfortunate accident can locate using the link of photos of deceased, lists of passengers admitted in different hospitals and also about unidentified bodies using these following detail,” Railways released a comment.


The railways have requested that people use the following three links:

Additionally, it stated that the Railway Helpline number 139 is staffed 24/7 to connect family and relatives of travelers affected by this rail tragedy. Senior officials are working the helpline 139. Also available 24/7 is the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Helpline number 18003450061/1929.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Commissioner’s office has set up a control room to assist the impacted households.

Around 7 p.m. on Friday, a collision involving a goods train, the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, and the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express occurred close to the Balasore district’s Bahanaga Bazar station.

According to officials, the tragedy resulted in 275 fatalities and 1,175 injuries.
