Few people in the UK…, the Punjab Police warns as it searches for Amritpal Singh

In the most recent CCTV footage, the leader of the “Waris Punjab De” is seen walking through the streets of Patiala while wearing a jacket, trousers, and a shirt.

Amritpal Singh, a Khalistani preacher on the run, has been the subject of rumors, the Punjab Police pleaded with the public on Saturday. The Police further charged that the distribution of false information on social media was the fault of rumor mongers residing in the UK, the US, and Canada.

“ It is our appeal that people must not believe the fake information about the arrest of Amritpal Singh which is being spread on social media. Whenever an arrest is made, information will be given by Police through a press conference”, Gulneet Khurana, SSP Bathinda, told ANI.

“A few people sitting in the UK, USA, and Canada are spreading false news on social media that Amritpal is being tortured. In Bathinda, 2 BSF companies with policemen & 140 security personnel from Bahadurgarh are currently deployed to ensure peace”, Khurana added.

Police are still searching for this extremist preacher, but the leader of the “Waris Punjab De,” Amritpal Singh, is still evading them. He may now be seen on March 19 strolling down the street in Patiala in a shirt, pants, and jacket in fresh CCTV footage.

Surveillance footage showed him riding a bike after changing into a gurudwara. Then, in Kurukshetra, Haryana, he was seen walking under an umbrella while riding a three-wheeled motorized trolley. Police suspect that Amritpal Singh fled from Haryana to Uttarakhand, but they don’t know where he went.

In a related incident, the Uttarakhand Police denied reports that the National Investigation Team had entered the state and was taking any action concerning the search for Amritpal Singh.

According to information that Amritpal Singh was at Delhi’s ISBT terminal dressing as a “sadhu,” the police teams from Delhi and Punjab also conducted a search operation in the nation’s capital.
