The court has jailed Sahil, who was seen on camera fatally stabbing a young girl in Rohini, Delhi.
On Saturday, Sahil Khan, the perpetrator of the murder of a 16-year-old girl in Delhi, was placed in judicial custody. He was seen on CCTV stabbing Sakshi repeatedly in Rohini’s Shahbad Dairy neighbourhood.

Additionally, Sahil was the subject of an SC/ST Act complaint filed by the Delhi Police. It further stated that efforts are being taken to charge Sahil as soon as possible.
A few days prior, Sakshi’s cousin’s brother had disclosed to reporters that their family was a Dalit.
On May 28, Sahil was accused of killing Sakshi by stabbing her more than 20 times and beating her to death with a cement slab. Sahil was taken into custody by the police in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, the next day. The 20-year-old was a refrigerator and air conditioner mechanic. A day before the heinous murder, Sahil and the young victim fought for their relationship.

On Thursday, police told that they had recovered the knife used by Sahil to kill the teenage girl. He allegedly threw the knife away after the crime into the bushes at Rithala.
