They were previously named to Forbes magazine’s prestigious “30 under 30 (Asia list)” in the e-commerce category.

Both young entrepreneurs are the Hurun India Future Unicorn Index 2022’s youngest startup founders, and their inclusion on the list of India’s richest demonstrates the expanding importance of the country’s startups.

q0″An adolescent makes his debut on the list!” Kaivalya Vohra, who developed Zepto at the age of 19, is the youngest person on the list. The youngest was 37 ten years ago and is now 19, demonstrating the impact of the startup revolution,” Hurun India Rich List stated.
Vohra and Palicha were Stanford University students who dropped out of their computer science class to pursue business. In the days of the epidemic, both friends founded Zepto in 2021 to meet the growing demand for speedy and contactless delivery of necessary commodities.

Palicha began his business journey in 2018 at the age of 17 when he launched GoPool, a carpool service for students. Before founding his firm, he was a project lead with PryvaSee, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based initiative on privacy policies. The two boyhood friends, who grew up in Dubai, first created Kiranakart, an online platform that delivered groceries from local Mumbai retailers. It was in service from June 2020 to March 2021.
Then, in November, they raised $60 million in a first investment round to launch Zepto in April 2021. In December, the rapid grocery delivery business secured $100 million at a valuation of $570 million. In May of this year, Zepto raised $200 million at a valuation of $900 million in its most recent fundraising round.
