Two Indian students were shot at during an armed robbery in Chicago; One Died

On Sunday, January 22, one Indian student was killed, and another was injured in a shooting incident at Princeton Park in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Devansh from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, has been identified as the deceased student. Koppala Sai Charan, a student at the Governors State University in Chicago, hails from Telangana’s Sangareddy district. According to reports, Sai Charan’s condition has stabilized.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the two students were shot during an armed robbery on Chicago’s south side. According to the report, the victims, aged 22 and 23, were near a parking lot on Sunday evening in South Holland. Unknown armed individuals in a dark-coloured vehicle approached them and demanded that they surrender their valuables. According to the report, even though the victims cooperated with the demand, they were nevertheless shot.

On Monday, Sai Charan’s family was told of the occurrence. Srinivas Rao, Sai Charan’s father, works in a private firm, while Lakshmi, his mother, is a teacher. They told the media that they did not know about his condition. “My son went to Chicago on the night of January 10. The incident was reported to us by his pals. “We’re waiting for further information,” his mother stated.
