The woman described her situation: “In March 2021 and June of last year, I visited the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi. I was requested to wait in a lounge for some time before being told that a visa could not be issued since the Pakistani government at the time was unstable due to a no-confidence resolution passed against then-prime minister Imran Khan. As I was leaving the office, a man named Asif stopped me and said, ‘I would have granted you a visa if you had come to me,’ and requested me to return to the lounge and wait there.”

“He later invited me to another room in the same corridor, where I sat. He (Asif) stated that a visa officer would arrive at 2 p.m. Then he started talking to me about my visa requirement, and I kept answering. Then he asked if I was married, which was a generic question, to which I said, ‘no sir, I’m not married,’ to which he replied, ‘why, what happened?’ He then inquired, ‘why do you do to fulfill your sexual need.’ After that, I started to feel uneasy, “She said.

“He also inquired if you had sex, went out with anyone, and if you could have an extramarital affair. I stood up and requested that he contact the visa officer, “She claimed.
